Day-of-Week Playlists

Overview

Day-of-Week Playlists let you assign a playlist to a specific day of the week. This makes it easy to create consistent training themes, like a "Motivation Monday" or "Safety Friday", that play automatically on that day each week.

These playlists work alongside your existing video queue and priority playlists, giving you more control over what content your employees see and when.

How Day-of-Week Playlists Work

  • Assign a playlist to a specific day of the week.
  • On that day, videos are pulled only from the assigned Day-of-Week Playlist(s).
  • If multiple playlists are assigned to the same day, they rotate each time that day occurs.
  • Playlists can be assigned to employees just like your existing playlists.

Note: Priority Videos and priority playlists are always unaffected by Day-of-Week settings.

How to Set Up a Day-of-Week Playlist

Step 1 - Go to Playlists

In the left navigation, click Videos & Playlists, then click Playlists. Make sure you are on the Company Playlists tab, then click the blue + ADD PLAYLIST button in the top-right corner.


Step 2 - Name Your Playlist and Set the Day of Week

A dialog box will appear. Enter a Name for your playlist. You can also give it a description if needed. Then open the Day of Week dropdown and select the day you want this playlist to play.

⚠️ Important: Once a day is selected and saved, this setting cannot be changed or removed.



Step 3 - Save Your Playlist

After entering the playlist name and selecting the day, click Save.


Step 4 - Assign the Playlist to Employees or Groups

Once the playlist is saved, add videos and then assign it to the appropriate employees or groups just as you would any standard playlist. Employees assigned to this playlist will receive videos from it every time that day of the week occurs, and they have that day set as a training day.

Example

You create a playlist called "Motivation Monday" and set the Day of Week to Monday. Each Monday, employees assigned to that playlist will receive videos from it, even if they have seen those videos before.
