How to Add an External Training Course
Adding a New External Training Course
External Training Courses are any type of training that an employee has completed outside of Tyfoom. By uploading them into Tyfoom, you can create a central training database for all training an employee has done. Follow these steps to set up a new External Training Course:
- Go to the Employee Tab
- Click on External Training Courses
- Click on the Blue "Add Training Course"
- In the Pop-up, name the certification and enter a description. Click Save
Now that the certification has been created, you can add this certification to different users.
Adding an External Training to a User
Two Methods
One at a Time
- Go to the Employee Tab
- Click on External Trainings
- Click on the blue "Add External Training" button
- In the Pop-up, select the Training Course you want to add
- Enter the completion and expiration date and notes
- If you have an image or PDF for the training, you can upload it (this will make it viewable for the user on their device)
- Select the employee (or employees)
- Note: You can only upload an image or PDF for one user using this method. If you select multiple employees, the image or PDF will be available to all of them.
- Click Save. They will now appear in the list of External Trainings.
Importing a CSV
You can easily upload multiple certificates at once by uploading a CSV file with all the information. Note: you are not able to upload images or PDFs for users with the CSV. That can be done one by one for each employee after the certificate details have been added.
- Go to the Employee Tab
- Click on External Trainings
- Click on the Import CSV button
- From this page, you can download the CSV Template
- Enter all the details on the template
- Save the file. Choose and upload the file
- Click Save. All external training details on the template will now appear in the list of external trainings
